Privacy Policy

We believe in keeping things simple and transparent. Crucible is a learning tool, not a data-harvesting platform. Here is exactly how your data is handled.

1. What We Collect & Why

We only collect what is absolutely necessary to make the app work for you:

  • Your Email Address: We collect this when you sign up, solely so you can securely log in to your account.
  • Your Quiz Progress: We keep track of your scores, answers, and study timing so you can see your own progress and get personalized study recommendations.

We do not use your data for marketing, advertising, or anything outside of helping you study.

2. Where Your Data Lives

Because Crucible is built to help you learn cloud computing, it only makes sense that it's hosted in the cloud! Your information is securely stored using Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the us-east-1 region. AWS simply acts as our infrastructure provider.

3. No Creepy Tracking (Cookies)

We hate invasive tracking as much as you do. Crucible uses exactly one session cookie, and its only job is to keep you logged in while you use the site. We do not use any tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.

4. Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone. The only third party involved is AWS, which handles the secure cloud infrastructure running the app.

5. Your Control & Data Deletion

Your data belongs to you. We keep your account and quiz history active so you can pick up where you left off, but you are in total control. If you ever want to view your data, correct a typo, or completely wipe your account and history from our database, just send us a quick note through our contact form. We will permanently delete everything within 30 days.

6. Updates to This Policy

If we ever change how the app handles data, we'll update this page. Continuing to use Crucible after an update means you're okay with the revised policy.
